Meet Vi Thurmond, MDA

Vi found a love for painting in 1973, and has shared her talent with others as an artist, teacher, author, publisher and businesswoman. Vi has authored seven books and developed over one hundred-fifty instructional packets covering a variety of subjects and in a number of mediums.  Her works have inspired countless decorative painters to create portraits of people and animals.

Vi's designs have appeared in The Decorative Painter, The Decorative Arts Digest, Tole World, Decorative Artist Workbook, Creative Painting USA, and Better Homes and Gardens Decorative Woodcrafts.

 Recognized as a Master Decorative Artist through the National Society of Tole and Decorative Painters, Vi is painting submissions for magazines, creating new pattern packets, and doing commission portrait pieces of people and animals.  You can contact her at vtltd@aol.com.
